Leaks and other roofing issues are never fun, but when it’s a hospital or other health care facility affected, finding a trusted medical roofing installation company is even more crucial. At McDonald & Wetle, we specialize in providing fast, affordable, friendly service while honoring your need for a high-quality, aesthetically pleasing roof.
Options For Medical Roofing Installation
There are two main commercial roofing options: those for flat roofs and those for sloped roofs. Most medical buildings fall into the flat roof category thanks to the common architectural choice of wide roofs with low or no slopes.
In these cases, we use one of two systems:
- Built-up roof systems (BUR) are affordable and ideal for use on roofs with a maximum 3-in-12 pitch.
- Single-ply roof systems use ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) for a moderately priced, durable result.
Sloped roofs are more commonly found in older commercial buildings built in a historically significant style, such as banks, but they may also be found on newer restaurants or even medical facilities. If you’re looking to install a sloped roof, you have three choices:
- Asphalt or composition shingles
- Clay tiles
- Natural slate tiles
It’s not always easy to whittle down your choices and select the roofing system that’s right for you, but our experts are standing by, ready to put their knowledge to use in whatever way benefits you best.
Maintenance And Repairs
In between installation and replacement services, you may need help with routine maintenance or unexpected repairs. Our preventive maintenance program can catch damage and neglect before they snowball into larger, costlier problems. When Mother Nature strikes, we’re there to pick up the pieces (sometimes literally) and get your roof back in working order.
If you’re looking to change up your roofing system, ask us about installing a skylight, working in a new addition or waterproofing your existing structure. We’d love to show you our portfolio so you can see what your project can look like when all is said and done.
